The challenge was to make a working watertight drinking bottle that would house batteries and LED lights within the base that would give a visibly pleasing light effect through the windows in the bottle.

We grew this water bottle in two parts on our in-house Viper SLA machine allowing us to then Vacuum Cast the bottle in a clear PU resin allowing the top and bottom to be bonded together giving the watertight seal. The assembled body was then sprayed with a soft-feel paint with the windows masked off.

The drinking nozzle was Vacuum Cast in a self-coloured flexible PU along with the ridged base both being then united to the bottle. The last element to this prototype was the CNC machined aluminium cap. We made a second production in a different colour way – the two prototypes worked beautifully. Another satisfied customer.
