Additive Manufacturing Technician

Complete Fabrication are prototype engineers based in Whittlesford, building high quality prototypes and models for clients all over the world. The company has been well established for nearly 30 years and expanding its additive manufacturing department for over 15 years. It is within this sector of the business that we now have a vacancy for a skilled technician.

The applicant would ideally have the following attributes:

  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised to high quality and tight deadlines.
  • A level of understanding of the 3D printing technology.
  • Experience operating 3d printers, ideally SLA.
  • Good skill of hand and attention to detail.
  • Computer literate, knowledge of Magics, Solidworks or other CAD packages would be an advantage.
  • Model making, spray painting, milling or turning experience would be an advantage.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Own transport
  • Previous experience is essential

Initial responsibilities will involve post processing of the 3d printed parts; washing, fettling, quality control, packing and dispatch. With rising experience and further training, you will move on to processing the quotes, preparing builds and setting up our 3d printers.

We offer a 40 hour contract, Mon-Fri with flexible start and finish times. The role will also involve occasional weekend work by prior agreement and for additional fee.
