These guys make software that goes into phones. This could have excused a very dull exhibition stand but the client wanted a fun experience for those poor souls interested in ‘telephony solutions’ and such like. He used words like ‘funky’ in his brief. We listened, as you can see. And we impressed a certain awards jury.

Nothing gets people onto your stand faster than the chance of winning a prize. Our client sent out lots of capsules to guests he wanted to lure. Once on the stand they were confronted with a kind of giant lightbox with hundreds of holes in it – a kind of large-scale battleships game. Guests inserted their capsules into the holes, some of which corresponded to gifts.

Impotence is a touchy subject, if you’ll pardon our choice of vocabulary. So, making an exhibition stand to demonstrate the benefits of Italy’s version of Viagra has to be tactfully handled (sorry). Our light-hearted solution was a crazy golf game with a difference: it was an interactive demonstration of the passage of the impulse from the brain to the business end. You have to admire our client’s balls (that’s enough – ed).
