In our experience, irritation can be the mother of invention just as much as necessity. But designers – good ones – can cope with both, not simply making the world more elegant but making things more useful at the same time. We have designers in-house, adept with both pencil and computer who have an annoying habit of solving problems that have niggled folk for months, or making ideas come to life that have previously only resided in some bright spark ’s head.
